    Sir Peter Blake CBE (Also mentor: Britain, July)

    Since the late 1950s, Blake has been one of the best known British pop artists. His paintings have included imagery from advertisements, music hall entertainment, and wrestlers, often including collaged elements. His iconic design for the cover of the Beatles' 1967 album, Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band ensured he transcended the artworld.(Also a mentor - Britain, July)

  • Rachel Campbell-Johnston

    Rachel Campbell-Johnston

    Rachel attained a PhD in English Literature from Edinburgh University before joining The Times 12 years ago. She worked as obituarist, leader writer and arts columnist before being appointed Chief Art Critic in 2001.

    Flavio Briatore

    As head of the ING Renault F1 Team, Flavio has developed a unique business approach to motorsport. A meeting with the Benetton family led him to the worlds of fashion and Formula 1. Twenty years later, he is a major figure in the sport, with diversified business interests beyond Formula 1 and a significant personal art collection.

    Paul Thomas RWA (Australia, March)

    Paul has exhibited widely in the USA, Europe and Australia, most recently in the international touring show, ‘Drawing Breath: 10 Years of the Jerwood Drawing Prize’ at the National Art School Gallery in Sydney. His work is held in many public and private collections around the world.

  • Marta Marce (Spain, April)

    Marta Marce (Spain, April)

    Marta has exhibited throughout the world in many major contemporary exhibitions, most recently at Moriarty Gallery in Madrid and Galeria Palma XII in Barcelona. She is Abbey Fellow at the British School in Rome and Senior Lecturer at Wimbledon College of Art, London. Her work is held in collections in Europe and the US.

  • Jason Brooks (Monaco, May)

    Jason Brooks (Monaco, May)

    Jason has contributed to a revival of photorealist painting. He was a prize winner in the John Moores 20 (1997) at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool and a judge of the John Moores 24 (2006). His photorealist paintings have been given solo and group exhibitions around the world.

    Agnes Szepfalvi (Hungary, August)

    Agnes has exhibited through out the world in many major contemporary exhibitions, most recently at the Museum of Modern Art, Saint Etienne, France. Her work is held in many major art collections including The National Museum of Art, Osaka, Japan, The Ludwig Museum Budapest and MAC Sallaumines, France. In 2006, Agnes won The Moore Space Miami Artslink competition in the USA.

    Leen Voet (Belgium, September)

    Leen has exhibited widely in Belgium, Germany, Holland, Spain and Greece. Most recently in Losing Control, a group exhibition at the Garage Gallery in Belgium. Leen won the Prize Langui, the premier prize for young Belgian Painting in 2003.
