The Rules
By entering this competition you agree to abide by the rules below:
Entries
- For Australia, Hungary, Spain and UK, artists must be resident in the country of the event being entered. The Belgium competition is open to residents of BeNeLux nations (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg).
- Artists must be aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.
- Artists cannot enter a competition in any other market.
- Artists from countries with no national competition may enter the Rest of World competition.
- Up to three works may be submitted by each artist.
- Work can only be submitted via the ING Fresh Eyes website (www.ingfresheyes.com), as per the requirements on the entry form.
- The same works cannot be submitted under a different name.
- Works must be submitted by the entry date stipulated on the entry form for that competition. Submissions received after this date will not be considered.
- Copyright for art works remains your own; however, ING will have the right to use any images submitted for promotional purposes for the duration of the competition.
- One winner will be selected to attend the Grand Prix, from the judges’ assessment of works submitted.
- The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Winning Artist
- The winner will be announced in the week prior to the event and only the winner will be informed directly.
- The winner must be able to attend the Saturday and Sunday of their chosen Grand Prix.
- There is no cash alternative to the prize.
- Within reason, the winner’s travel expenses will be paid by ING, subject to prior approval.
- The winner’s accommodation and race circuit tickets and passes will be provided and paid for by ING.
Grand Prix Artwork
- Should the winning artist not be able to attend the Grand Prix due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, the Judges reserve the right to select another winning artist.
- The winning artist must produce one piece of artwork inspired by their time at the Grand Prix.
- ING and/or their agent may use images of preparatory drawings created by the winning artist for publicity purposes prior to the finished artwork, with permission from the artist.
- All materials for creating art work at or subsequent to the Grand Prix are the responsibility of the artist.
- The completed work must be ready by one month after the entered event, for inclusion in the ING charity auction.
- The work created by the artist will be shown at ING’s discretion, before being auctioned for charity.
- All proceeds from the sale of the work will be donated to ING’s chosen charities – Great Ormond Street Hospital and Chances for Children.
- Costs of transporting artwork will be covered by ING subject to prior approval.
- Copyright of the art work will become the property of ING in all media worldwide, including on ING’s websites.
- If the artist produces more than one piece of work from their time at the Grand Prix, ING reserves the right to select the work to be auctioned.
General Terms
- Attendance at any Grand Prix is at your own risk.
- ING will not be held responsible for any personal loss or injury caused when participating in any part of this event.
